Join us for a fun filled weekend adventure exploring the wonderful world of princesses and pixie dust while enjoying the beautiful outdoors and activities sponsored by Cadette Troop 41172!

Camp will be begin on Friday with a Crazy Sock Hop and end with Sunday outdoor adventures. 

A weekend camp Girl Scout tradition is sharing SWAPS.  Make sure your troop brings enough SWAPS for everyone! (Final camper count will be sent with invoice.)

Each troop will perform a skit on Saturday night at campfire. We have a PA system so feel free to bring music to play for your skit (phone or Ipod).

​Where do we sleep?
 Timber and Cascade ​cabins are equipped with five bunk beds (one featuring a queen bunk), allowing for 11 total capacity in each cabin, a shower, toilet, three sinks, sky-lights, mini-fridge and microwave. (Camp is a first come, first serve event accommodating girls, adults, and volunteers based on the date/time of the paid deposit. Troops may be required to share a cabin.)

  • ​Dec  2, 2015 at 6:00 AM – Registration begins online (see registration below)**
            -- Troops register actual or estimated number of camper
            -- $100 per troop non-refundable deposit is due at registration.*
  • Mar  1, 2016   – Registration deadline
  • Mar 14, 2016  – Troop final camper counts due to the Encampment Registrar
  • Mar 20, 2016  – Troops notified of placement and FINAL COST.*
  • FINAL PAYMENT due Mar 21, 2016. (Invoices will be emailed prior to or on March 20, 2016 with final payment amount.)
  • Apr 20, 2016  –  Troops Service Unit Managed approved GSWW Short Trip and Travel due to the Encampment Registrar; form must include girl and adult campers.
  • Troop Camp Manuals will be provided to troops in April 
* All deposits are non-refundable unless your troop is on the wait list.  If cancellation is made after the “registration deadline”, all money paid becomes non-refundable.
**SU 440 troops have priority until January 12, 2016.  Registration will open to other Service Units on January 13, 2016.

Troop Adult Volunteers

  • Adults must meet safety ratios and not exceed safety ratios plus two. (Please verify troop ratios at time of travel 2:6 Daisies, 2:12 Brownies, 2:16 Juniors, 2:20 Cadettes
  • Adults must have a current GS background check.
  • Adults traveling to meet safety ratios must be GS members. 
  • Adults not required for safety ratios will be assigned kapers to assist with kitchen work, clean up, registration and other duties as assigned.
  • Troops MUST submit Service Unit Manager approved GSWW Short Trip and Travel forms (with the full roster of all girls an adults) at least 30 days prior to event.

* Girl Scout Cookie Dough can be used for all SU Events and Financial Assistance is available. ​

How do we register?  

Simple - there are 3 easy steps! 
NOTE:  The camp is currently accepting only troops for the waitlist thus no deposit is required at this time. 
Step 1 - Deposit (SKIP for wait list troops)
Step 2 - Complete the online registration form
Step 3 - Confirmation will be emailed to your Trip Adviser*

*Camp registrations will be processed in the order received based on the Square payment date/time and placement in camp will be based on estimated space available which will be collected during the registration process. The Camp Registrar notify your troop Trip Adviser within a week of online registration if your troop has been accepted or has been placed on the wait list.  If your troop has been placed on the wait list, your deposit will be refunded and your troop will be contacted between if space becomes available.

Step 1.   DEPOSIT - Not required for waitlisted troops 
Step 2.  Complete the Troop Registration form below. 
NOTE:  After clicking the submit button on the registration form below a "Thank you for your Encampment submission" will display on the screen and an email confirmation will be sent within a week to confirm your registration.
    i. Payment Information (The Square Order# is the Square confirmation page and Square emailed receipt)
    Deposit payment is not required for waitlisted troops.

    ii. Troop Information

    iii. Trip Point of Contact Information (called Adviser on the Girl Scout Western Washing Troop Travel Short Trip form)

    iv. Estimated Number of Campers BY GRADE
    Cabin information:  The Timber & Cascade Cabins at Sunset Lake sleep 11 (9 bunks + 1 queen bunk) and a cot can be added to create a 12th bunk.  The queen bunk that sleeps 2 is often used for a leader/daughter combination.  Men are not allowed to sleep with the girls so will have separate sleeping arrangements.

Step 3.  Confirmation  
The Encampment Registrar will email the Trip Point of Contact (Adviser) listed on the registration form (completed in Step 2) to let your troop know if they have been accepted or placed on the wait list.  If your troop has been placed on the wait list, the troop deposit will be refunded and your troop will be contacted as space becomes available.  

We are going camping!  Now what?

Visit the GSWW Trips page for comprehensive information and forms required.

  1.  A COPY of the Service Unit Manager APPROVED Travel Application for Short Trips  form must be submitted to the camp registrar NO LATER THAN April 20.  This form has all the emergency contact information and a roster of ALL (Girl and Adult) campers; camp will only accept the approved form if the number of campers registered matches the number of campers listed on the roster section of the form.   

  2. All other forms required for travel will be managed and maintained by the troop, service unit or council.
TRAINING
Visit the GSWW Training page for comprehensive information about training.  Here is a summary: 

  1. One adult (or more) must have Indoor Overnight plus it prerequisites including leader training.
  2. One adult (or more) must have First Aide/CPR certification. 

NOTE: The one adult can be the same person or two different people.  Generally having multiple people with both trainings is helpful in case one person has to cancel at the last minute.
